Jokermon

**Jokermon** is a recurring antagonist inside Rank’em Up Rodeo. He takes over the Pokémon-ranking application, replaces its ranked Pokémon with question marks, threatens the captured Pokémon, and forces Bingo to answer riddles. Bingo describes his type as “joke and Digimon,” and later appearances treat Jokermon as a genuinely dangerous figure within the show’s game lore.

First takeover

Jokermon first appeared in Episode 195: Worm Smells. After the ranking list became red question marks, a scythe-wielding joker appeared and announced that Bingo’s Pokémon were captive. Bingo had to solve riddles to prevent them from being ground into potpourri. (YouTube)

He returned in Episode 201: Collywobbles & Hambletwamps, again blanking the ranking list and holding the Pokémon in a zoo while Bingo put on his thinking wig and worked through another riddle sequence. (YouTube)

Episode 203 and MissingNo.

In Episode 203: So Thick With Pebbles, Jokermon returned with Pokémon riddles and then used **MissingNo.** as his “foul surprise.” He cursed the app so every generated Pokémon would be MissingNo.; when Bingo ranked it, the app crashed and rebooted as a custom pixel-art adventure based on Bingo’s world. This changed Rank’em Up Rodeo from a simple ranking application into the explorable game used afterward. (YouTube)

Later references

Jokermon remained part of the show’s vocabulary long after the takeover. Bingo described the event as Jokermon attacking the show, expressed fear that he would return, and drew a Jokermon cat during Episode 295: Rock Hard Brownie Clonk. (YouTube)
