Labubu
**Labubu** is a collectible art-toy figure that became a continuing *halfwayokay* subject through Bingo’s interest in getting one, the show’s fascination with bootlegs, and the arrival of a knockoff figure called a **Lafufu**. The toys entered the conversation in Episode 257: Babies Go Extra, when chat asked about a Labubu Bingo had purchased from Pop Mart and Bingo recalled seeing both genuine and bootleg figures. The Labubu period
Labubu quickly spread across several parts of the show. Bingo and chat discussed whether Bruce needed a miniature one, Rank’em Up Rodeo supplied a dog-and-Labubu hybrid drawing prompt, and callers and chat debated the appeal, appearance, price, and supposed danger of the figures. The subject became less about collecting an official toy and more about the show’s increasingly elaborate treatment of the knockoff.
Lafufu and Dweewee
The bootleg Labubu is called a **Lafufu** in the show. Bingo’s Lafufu became known as **Dweewee** and developed its own supernatural lore. In Episode 260, Bingo contrasted the official toy with Dweewee, connected Labubu fears to the demon Pazuzu, found handmade tarot cards on the street, and attempted to devise a ritual that would place Pazuzu’s spirit into the doll. By Episode 272: Domino Dipped in Honey, Bingo explained that he had originally wanted a Labubu, received the cheaper gas-station Lafufu instead, and ultimately preferred Dweewee. The figure was dressed for a catwalk presentation and described as possessed by Pazuzu. (YouTube)
