Episode 107: Bed Full of Dogs

Original air date: July 11, 2019

Episode overview

The hosts open Morning Announcements, briefly interrupt it with Right Off the Bat, investigate a stray voice in the vampire/bat sting, and announce the Giovanni Ribisi vaporwave shirt and expanded Threadless merchandise. Nested inside Morning Announcements, a deliberately abrupt produced micro-segment gives Bingo a chance to speak immediately and explicitly concludes before the pending announcement resumes. Bingo and Danny review Animal Farm, rate it dim, and choose William Faulkner's As I Lay Dying as the next book. The returning feature profiles Gail Chord Schuler through her videos and fan wiki, covering Silver Skies, the Church of Gail, brain-to-brain celebrity relationships, conspiracy claims and Patreon material. Nested inside Mutant Roundup, the hosts investigate Laurie McBride's identity, discover she is Brent Spiner's wife, and infer why Gail targets her. Philip debuts a five-comic caption game in which Bingo and Danny describe panels, guess removed original text, reveal the originals, and submit alternate captions for a later Friendship Club vote; no overall winner is known in this episode.
